Position SUMMARY:

Technical Skill Needed to Perform Adult Echocardiography Competently. Takes On-Call. Monitors supplies. Maintains equipment. Other duties as assigned. Assists with maintaining Infection Control standards. Transports patients. Risk Management. Maintains Inter and Intradepartmental relations. Promotes Guest Relations. Actively seeks Personal Improvement. Trained in echocardiographic examination of patients with adult cardiac diseases.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):

  • Associate degree in cardiovascular field or related field of study.
  • Certification in Non-Invasive Cardiopulmonary Technology with specialty in echocardiography desirable.
  • Experience in echocardiographic examination of patients in any setting including acute care setting.
  • CPR certified.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
  • Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.
  • Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
