Practical Radiology Tech
Under the direction of a licensed and registered Radiology Technologist, the Practical Radiology technologist performs routine radiographic examinations to patients of all ages consistently demonstrating knowledge and practice of radiation safety.  Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Imaging Department.  The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s policies and procedures and skills check lists.  Must be able to respect diversity of each individual’s values, culture, spiritual beliefs, and other socio-economic issues in addressing the needs of patients, visitors, and co-workers.  Participates in performance improvement activities and effectively interacts with patients, families, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional imaging care. Age of population served: Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited school of Radiology Technology program. Current Utah State Practical Radiological Technologist Licensure
  • Current BLS (CPR) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Uploading a copy of your current BLS card to your application is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in imaging  services preferred or the ability to learn and demonstrate competency after successful completion of a training program.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages helpful.
