Registered Nurse - OR Robotics Coordinator


This position is responsible for the daVinci Robotics Surgical System in the Surgical Department.  The Coordinator will work with the Surgery scheduler to set up the surgery schedule, order and maintain the inventory of instruments and supplies required for robotics surgery.  The Coordinator assists the Surgical Services Director in designing and maintaining robotic surgery protocols.  Troubleshoot issues and perform or oversee preventative maintenance.  Conduct staff and physician training on robotics equipment and assure that patients are properly prepped and positioned for robotic procedures.  Point of Care Testing, including collection, testing and reporting as it relates to job position.

They troubleshoot the robotics system and help with set up and take down for all ancillary equipment.  Additional responsibilities include marketing to physician offices, payers, community groups and business partners. Communicates the features, benefits, competitive advantages, and other properties of the robotic service line through meetings, seminars, luncheons, and other PR type events. Demonstrates support of the Medical Center’s mission, values and vision in all actions and interactions with employees, patients, medical staff, guests and visitors through use of STAR key words: Service, Teamwork, Accountability/Attitude, Responsiveness.




  • Operating Room experience
  • Robotic Surgery experience
  • Knowledge of surgical terminology, equipment, materials, and policies/procedures (sterile protocol/OR attire), and the fundamental methods relating to surgery
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of data collection, research protocols, etc.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures:
      • Urology
      • Gynecology
      • Cardiac Surgery
      • General Surgery
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills
