Job Description

Responsible for all departmental testing including proficiency samples. Responsible for performance improvement, education, ordering of supplies, and any other duties required by the respiratory department. Maintains respiratory records, performs or oversees maintenance procedures. Follows respiratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Respiratory. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. Provides service to age range from Neonate to Geriatric


Regulatory Requirements:

* Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy.
* Either:
* Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
* Must be able to perform testing on the blood gas analyzers
* Current certification in BLS (American Heart Association CPR)
* Preferred 5 years experience in appropriate departments.
Language Skills:
* Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Additionally languages preferred.
* Basic computer knowledge.
* Operates the following equipment correctly and safely: ventilators, bipap, blood gas analyzers, pft
